Gurame Saus Padang Daun Jeruk

Ingredients

Gurame fish 1 whole
Garlic 2 cloves
Onion 1/2 (medium)
Green onions 1 stalk
Curly red chili 10, ground
Ginger 1 small piece, crushed
Salt to taste
Sugar to taste
Tamarind to taste
Kaffir lime leaves a few
Oyster sauce to taste
Chili sauce to taste

Instructions

  1. Fry the Fish: Heat oil in a pan over high heat. Fry the gurame fish until it is cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the oil and set aside.

  2. Sauté the Aromatics: In the same pan, add the ground chili, crushed ginger, garlic, and diced onion. Sauté until fragrant, stirring frequently.

  3. Add the Sauce: Pour in a sufficient amount of water, then season with salt, pepper, sugar, oyster sauce, and chili sauce. Add the kaffir lime leaves and chopped green onions for additional flavor.

  4. Adjust the Taste: Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning as needed to achieve the desired flavor balance.
