Spicy Tuna Pasta
Ingredients:
- 1 small packet of San Remo pasta
- 1 can (60g) of Ayam Brand spicy tuna
- A handful of carrots, cut into matchsticks
- A few sprigs of basil, washed and chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 of a Dutch onion, finely chopped
- 3 red bird’s eye chilies, finely chopped
- Soy sauce, to taste
- A pinch of sugar
- 2 tablespoons of butter
Instructions:

Prepare the Pasta:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions, adding 1 tablespoon of oil to the water. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

Cook the Sauce:
- In a large pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and cook until it turns golden brown.
- Add the chopped Dutch onion to the pan and sauté until it becomes fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped bird’s eye chilies and cook until they start to soften.
- Add the spicy tuna to the pan and mix well. Season with a pinch of sugar and stir to combine.
- Toss in the matchstick carrots and cook until they are slightly tender.

Combine Pasta and Sauce:
- Add the cooked pasta to the pan and pour in the soy sauce. Stir well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
- Adjust the seasoning with additional soy sauce if needed, and add a splash of water if the mixture seems too dry. Cook for a few more minutes to let the flavors meld together.

Finish and Serve:
- Fold in the chopped basil and give the pasta one final stir.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
