Ingredients:

  • 500 grams chicken thigh (cut into pieces)
  • 1 large potato (cut into 6-8 pieces)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 limes (juiced)
  • 1 large tomato (chopped, or 2 tablespoons tomato sauce as a substitute)
  • 300 ml water
  • 6 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (brown sugar preferred for a richer taste)
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon mushroom broth powder

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients:

    • Set aside the chicken pieces and potato chunks.
    • Prepare the sauce mixture by combining the water, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, salt, sugar, black pepper, and mushroom broth powder. If you are using tomato sauce instead of fresh tomato, include it in this mixture.
  2. Cook Garlic:

    • Heat a wok or large pan over medium heat and add a small amount of oil. Sauté the minced garlic until it becomes fragrant and golden brown.
  3. Brown the Chicken:

  4. Prepare the Tomato Mixture:
