Ingredients:
- 1 onion ๐ง
- 1/2 cup celery ๐ฟ
- 1/2 cup carrot ๐ฅ
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley ๐ฟ
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary ๐ฟ
- 1 teaspoon salt ๐ง
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes ๐
- 1/2 cup dry white wine ๐ท
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 cup butter ๐ง
- 1 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
- Prepare Vegetables: Place onion, celery, and carrots in the bottom of a crock pot.
- Layer Fish: Top with fish cubes.
- Season: Sprinkle with dried parsley, dried rosemary, and salt.
- Add Liquids: Pour diced tomatoes and dry white wine over the fish and vegetables.
- Cook: Cover and cook on Low for 7-8 hours or on High for 3-4 hours.
- Prepare Thickening Mixture: One hour before serving, combine flour, melted butter, and heavy cream in a bowl.
- Thicken Chowder: Stir the thickening mixture into the chowder in the crock pot.
- Continue Cooking: Continue cooking for the remaining time, allowing the flavors to meld together and the chowder to thicken.
Serving Suggestions:
- Serve hot with crusty bread or oyster crackers.
