Title: Indonesian Chicken Soup (Sop Ayam)

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg small pieces of chicken
  • 500 g cleaned chicken feet
  • 500 g sliced potatoes
  • 500 g sliced carrots
  • 1 bowl of cooked macaroni
  • 2 stalks of spring onions (to taste)
  • 4 stalks of celery (to taste)
  • Ground Spices:
    • 8 shallots
    • 5 cloves of garlic
  • Additional Seasoning:
    • 1 tsp ground pepper
    • Salt to taste
    • Seasoning powder (optional, substitute with sugar if preferred)

Instructions:

  1. Heat a pan and sauté shallots and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add chicken pieces and chicken feet to the sautéed spices, mix well.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large pot and add enough water to cover.
  4. Bring to a boil until the chicken and feet are cooked through.
  5. Add the sliced potatoes and carrots, simmer until tender.
  6. Stir in the cooked macaroni.
  7. Season with ground pepper and salt, adjust the seasoning to taste.
  8. Finally, add the spring onions and celery.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fried shallots for extra flavor.
