Title: Indonesian Chicken Soup (Sop Ayam)
Ingredients:
- 1 kg small pieces of chicken
- 500 g cleaned chicken feet
- 500 g sliced potatoes
- 500 g sliced carrots
- 1 bowl of cooked macaroni
- 2 stalks of spring onions (to taste)
- 4 stalks of celery (to taste)
- Ground Spices:
- 8 shallots
- 5 cloves of garlic
- Additional Seasoning:
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- Salt to taste
- Seasoning powder (optional, substitute with sugar if preferred)
Instructions:
- Heat a pan and sauté shallots and garlic until fragrant.
- Add chicken pieces and chicken feet to the sautéed spices, mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a large pot and add enough water to cover.
- Bring to a boil until the chicken and feet are cooked through.
- Add the sliced potatoes and carrots, simmer until tender.
- Stir in the cooked macaroni.
- Season with ground pepper and salt, adjust the seasoning to taste.
- Finally, add the spring onions and celery.
- Serve hot, garnished with fried shallots for extra flavor.
