Carrot Chicken Nuggets Recipe
Ingredients:
- 250 grams ground chicken
- 1 medium-sized carrot
- 1/2 onion
- 2-3 cloves garlic
- 3 stalks green onions
- 2 eggs
- 100 grams all-purpose flour (approximately)
- Bread crumbs, as needed
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Chicken seasoning powder, to taste
- Cooking oil, for frying
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Ingredients:
- Finely chop the onion and garlic. Sauté them with a little oil until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Combine the sautéed onion mixture with the ground chicken in a blender or food processor. Blend until the onion is finely minced and well mixed with the chicken. Transfer to a mixing bowl.
-
Prepare the Carrots and Green Onions:
- Cut the carrot into small pieces. Add them to the bowl with the ground chicken mixture.
- Chop the green onions finely and add them to the mixture as well. Mix everything until evenly combined.
-
Mix in Eggs and Flour:
- Add 1 egg to the mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until fully incorporated into the chicken mixture.
- Season with salt, pepper, and chicken seasoning powder to taste.
-
Steam the Mixture:
- Preheat the steamer.
- Place the chicken mixture into molds or shape them into nuggets by hand.
- Steam the nuggets for approximately 25-30 minutes, covered with a cloth to prevent water from dripping onto the nuggets.
-
Cool and Prepare for Frying:
- Once steamed, remove the nuggets from the steamer and allow them to cool slightly.
- Cut the steamed nuggets into desired sizes.
-
Coat and Freeze:
- Beat the remaining egg in a bowl. Dip each nugget into the beaten egg, then coat them thoroughly with bread crumbs.
- Repeat until all nuggets are coated.
- Place the coated nuggets on a tray and freeze them for about 1 hour to ensure the bread crumbs adhere well.
-
Frying:
- Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the nuggets in batches until golden brown and cooked through, turning occasionally for even frying.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
-
Serve:
- Carrot chicken nuggets are ready to be served hot with your favorite dipping sauce or as a snack.
-
Storage Tip:
- Nuggets can be stored in the freezer for up to 3-4 weeks. Ensure they are properly sealed to maintain freshness.
