Beef with Black Pepper
Ingredients:
- 500 grams beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 large onions, cut into cubes
- 2 green bell peppers, cut into cubes
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed and chopped
- 3 tablespoons coarsely ground black pepper
- 5 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
- Salt and sugar to taste
- Cooking oil
Instructions:
-
Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of coarsely ground black pepper, 2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce, and 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce. Mix thoroughly, ensuring the beef is well-coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
-
Cook the Beef: Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until it is browned and cooked through. Once done, remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
-
Sauté Vegetables: In the same skillet, add a little more oil if necessary. Sauté the crushed garlic, onions, and green bell peppers until they are fragrant and the onions are translucent.
-
Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir in the remaining 3 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, and 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground black pepper. Mix well to ensure all the ingredients are evenly combined.
-
Season to Taste: Adjust the seasoning with salt and sugar according to your taste preference. Continue to cook for a few more minutes until the flavors meld together.
-
Serve: Transfer the beef with black pepper to a serving dish and enjoy with steamed rice or your choice of side dishes.
This savory and peppery beef dish is perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. The combination of sweet soy sauce and oyster sauce adds depth to the dish, while the black pepper provides a delightful kick.
