Simple Beef Bone Soup (Sop Tulang Sapi Sederhana)

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams beef bones
  • 1.5 liters water
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger
  • 1/4 nutmeg
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Beef seasoning to taste
  • 2 stalks of green onions, sliced
  • For Serving:
    • Sliced bird’s eye chilies
    • Fried shallots
    • Lime wedges

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Broth: In a large pot, bring the water to a boil. Add the beef bones and ginger. Reduce the heat and simmer until the broth becomes flavorful and the water has reduced slightly.

  2. Season the Broth: Add the nutmeg, ground black pepper, salt, and beef seasoning. Stir to combine.
