Beef Teriyaki Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams of thinly sliced beef
  • 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cm piece of ginger, grated
  • 1/2 red bell pepper (or red chili peppers, deseeded), sliced into strips
  • 1/2 green bell pepper (or green chili peppers, deseeded), sliced into strips
  • 1/2 large onion, sliced into strips
  • Water
  • Sugar, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Seasoning, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with a little water

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the Beef:
In a mixing bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with minced garlic, grated ginger, teriyaki sauce, sesame oil, sweet soy sauce, and black pepper. Toss well to coat the beef evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.

  2. Cook the Beef:
Heat a pan over medium heat and add the marinated beef. Stir-fry until the beef is cooked through and slightly dry, which should take about 5-7 minutes.

  3. Prepare the Sauce:
Add a splash of water to the pan with the beef. Continue to cook, allowing the mixture to simmer and the flavors to meld, for approximately 15 minutes. Leave a little of the sauce in the pan to enrich the final dish.

  4. Add Vegetables and Season:
Incorporate the sliced onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper into the pan. Season with sugar, salt, and seasoning to taste. Stir-fry briefly until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  5. Thicken the Sauce:
Mix the cornstarch with a small amount of water to create a slurry. Pour this mixture into the pan and stir well. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.

  6. Serve:
Remove from heat and serve hot. Enjoy your flavorful beef teriyaki with steamed rice or noodles.

This Beef Teriyaki recipe offers a delicious and easy-to-make meal with a savory, slightly sweet sauce that complements the tender beef and crisp vegetables perfectly.
