Ingredients:
- 250 grams beef, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 red chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 shallots, sliced
- 1 sachet Saori oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Cornstarch slurry:
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon cold water
Marinating the Beef:
- In a bowl, combine 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon soy sauce.
- Mix thoroughly to create the marinade.
- Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well-coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse the meat.
Preparing the Dish:
- Clean and thinly slice the beef, then mix it with the marinade. Let it sit in the refrigerator for approximately 15 minutes.
- Slice the onion, garlic, and shallots. Also, slice the red chilies according to your taste preferences.
- Heat a sufficient amount of oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced onion, shallots, minced garlic, and red chilies to the pan. Sauté until they turn golden brown and fragrant.
- Introduce the marinated beef to the pan. Stir well to combine with the aromatics.
- Pour in the Saori oyster sauce and mix thoroughly. Adjust the consistency with water if desired.
- To thicken the sauce, add the cornstarch slurry (1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon cold water) to the pan. Stir continuously until the sauce has thickened and the flavors are well combined.
