Crispy Beef and Cheese Rice Balls
Ingredients:
- 1 bowl of cooked white rice
- 1/2 can of corned beef (320 grams)
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 5 tablespoons butter (for sautéing)
- 3 red chili peppers, thinly sliced
- Cheddar cheese, diced
- Bread crumbs
- 2 eggs
- Salt, ground pepper, and seasoning to taste
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Mixture: In a bowl, combine the corned beef, sliced red chili peppers, 1 egg, ground pepper, salt, and seasoning. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
-
Sauté the Onion: Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onion and cook until fragrant and golden brown.
-
Combine with Rice: Add the cooked white rice and the corned beef mixture to the skillet with the onions. Stir everything together, ensuring the mixture is well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Allow the mixture to cool.
-
Shape the Balls: Once the rice and corned beef mixture has cooled enough to handle, shape it into small balls. Insert a cube of cheddar cheese into the center of each ball.
-
Coat and Fry: Beat the remaining egg and use it to coat each rice ball. Then roll each ball in bread crumbs until fully covered. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the rice balls in the hot oil until golden and crispy, turning them gently to ensure they cook evenly.
-
Serve: Remove the rice balls from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
