Beef Teriyaki Simple & Delicious

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of good quality beef, thinly sliced
  • 7 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 3 onions, chopped
  • 5 large green chilies (can be substituted with bell peppers), seeds removed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, crushed
  • 5 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce, preferably Saori brand
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • Soy sauce, to taste (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in water
  • 200 ml water (adjust according to desired sauce consistency)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef:
Thinly slice the beef into pieces about the size of your index finger or to your preference.

  2. Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, combine the Teriyaki sauce, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sweet soy sauce. Add the beef slices, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  3. Sauté Aromatics:
Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and crushed ginger, sautéing until fragrant.

  4. Cook the Beef:
Add the marinated beef along with the marinade to the pan. Cook until the beef changes color. Then, add the water and cook until the beef is tender.

  5. Season:
Adjust the taste with salt and sugar. Stir well.

  6. Add Vegetables:
Once the beef is tender, add the green chilies and onions. Cook briefly to keep the vegetables fresh and crisp.

  7. Thicken the Sauce:
Stir in the cornstarch mixture to the pan, allowing the sauce to thicken. Once thickened, turn off the heat.

  8. Garnish and Serve:
Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired, and serve hot.

Enjoy your delicious and simple Beef Teriyaki!
