Beef Teriyaki ala Hokben
Ingredients:
- 300 grams thinly sliced beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cm ginger
- 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 large onion
Preparation Steps:
- Begin by grating the garlic and ginger finely.
- In a bowl, combine the grated garlic and ginger with sweet soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and sesame oil.
- Add sugar, salt, and black pepper to the mixture. Stir well to ensure the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Allow the beef to marinate for approximately 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Once the beef has marinated, heat a skillet over medium heat and add the cooking oil and butter.
- Once the oil and butter are hot, add the marinated beef to the skillet. Stir continuously to cook the beef evenly.
- When the beef is halfway cooked, add half of the sliced onion to the skillet. Reduce the heat to low and continue cooking until the liquid reduces.
- After the sauce has reduced, add the remaining half of the onion and stir until it becomes tender.
- Once the onion is tender and the beef is fully cooked, turn off the heat and serve immediately.
