Black Pepper Beef
Ingredients
- 250 grams beef tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 red chili, sliced
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 200 ml cooking oil

Marinate the Beef:
- In a bowl, combine the beef with 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of teriyaki sauce. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for more intense flavor.

Prepare the Ingredients:
- Slice the onion and set it aside.

Cook the Beef:
- Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until the beef is tender, about 15 minutes.
- Remove the beef from the pan and drain the excess oil, leaving a small amount in the pan for stir-frying the spices.

Sauté the Aromatics:
- In the same pan, sauté the crushed garlic and sliced onion until fragrant.

Combine and Season:
- Return the beef to the pan and add the remaining sweet soy sauce and teriyaki sauce.
- Stir in the ground black pepper and sliced red chili.
- Add a little water to the pan and cook until the sauce thickens.

Finish and Serve:
- Add the chopped green onion and mix well.
- Remove from heat and serve the black pepper beef with hot steamed rice and crispy crackers.
Note: There is no need to add extra salt or sugar, as the teriyaki sauce, sweet soy sauce, and sesame oil provide enough flavor.
