Black Pepper Beef

Ingredients

  • 250 grams beef tenderloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 red chili, sliced
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 200 ml cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef:

    • In a bowl, combine the beef with 1 tablespoon of sweet soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of teriyaki sauce. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for more intense flavor.
  2. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Slice the onion and set it aside.
  3. Cook the Beef:

    • Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until the beef is tender, about 15 minutes.
    • Remove the beef from the pan and drain the excess oil, leaving a small amount in the pan for stir-frying the spices.
  4. Sauté the Aromatics:

    • In the same pan, sauté the crushed garlic and sliced onion until fragrant.
  5. Combine and Season:

    • Return the beef to the pan and add the remaining sweet soy sauce and teriyaki sauce.
    • Stir in the ground black pepper and sliced red chili.
    • Add a little water to the pan and cook until the sauce thickens.
  6. Finish and Serve:

    • Add the chopped green onion and mix well.
    • Remove from heat and serve the black pepper beef with hot steamed rice and crispy crackers.

Note: There is no need to add extra salt or sugar, as the teriyaki sauce, sweet soy sauce, and sesame oil provide enough flavor.

Enjoy this savory and spicy Black Pepper Beef dish, perfect for a satisfying meal!
