Beef Bone Soup (Sop Tulang Sapi)
Ingredients:
- 1 packet of vegetable soup mix, chopped to preference
- 250 grams of beef bones or beef ribs
- 1 liter of water
- 5 shallots, sliced and fried
- 2 cloves of garlic, sliced and fried
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Salt and sugar to taste
- 1 carrot, peeled and chopped
- 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 100 grams green beans, trimmed
- 2 stalks of celery, chopped
- 1 handful of fresh parsley or coriander leaves
- 1/4 head of cabbage, chopped
Instructions:

Prepare the Beef Bones:
- Thoroughly wash the beef bones and set them aside.

Cook the Bones:
- In a large pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add the beef bones and cook for about 20 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.

Add Vegetables:
- After 20 minutes, add the chopped carrots and potatoes to the pot. Cook until they are halfway tender. Then, incorporate the green beans, celery, parsley or coriander leaves, and cabbage. Continue cooking until all the vegetables are tender.

Flavor the Soup:
- Just before removing the pot from heat, add the fried shallots and garlic to the soup. Season with ground black pepper, salt, and sugar to taste. Stir well and adjust the seasoning as needed.

Serve:
- Once the soup is fully cooked and the flavors are well combined, remove from heat. Serve hot and enjoy your comforting bowl of beef bone soup.
