Chicken Steak with BBQ Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Chicken Steak:

  • 1/2 kg chicken breast fillets
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons seasoned flour (such as Sajiku brand)
  • 2 tablespoons rice flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Cooking oil, as needed

For the BBQ Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons BBQ sauce (Del Monte brand recommended)
  • 3 tablespoons chili sauce
  • 3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons hot water
  • Optional: Boncabe or chili powder for extra heat

For the Accompaniments:

  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 5 green beans, chopped
  • 1 corn cob, kernels removed
  • Frozen French fries, as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Begin by thoroughly washing the chicken breast fillets. Slice them thinly to ensure even cooking.

  2. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine the chicken fillets with the oyster sauce and ground black pepper. Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 15 minutes to let the flavors infuse.

  3. Prepare the Coating: In a separate bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, seasoned flour, and rice flour. This dry mixture will be used to coat the chicken.
