Beef Meatball Soup (Sop Bakso Sapi)
Ingredients:
- 20 beef meatballs, sliced
- 2 pieces of white tofu, cut into triangles
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 stalk of green onion, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, crushed
- Butter or margarine
- Water
- Salt
- Bouillon powder
- Ground black pepper
Instructions:
-
In a skillet, melt a generous amount of butter or margarine over medium heat. Add the crushed garlic and sauté until fragrant, making sure not to let it brown.
-
In a large pot, pour in enough water to serve as the base of your soup. Add the sautéed garlic along with the beef meatballs. Bring the mixture to a boil, allowing the flavors to meld.
-
Once boiling, add the diced carrot and tofu triangles. Season with salt, ground black pepper, and bouillon powder to taste. Stir to combine.
-
Continue cooking until the carrots and tofu are tender and the meatballs are heated through.
-
Just before serving, stir in the sliced green onions and cook for an additional minute to let them soften slightly.
-
Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with extra green onions if desired. Enjoy your hearty, comforting bowl of beef meatball soup!
