Tumis Bunga Bawang Tahu

Ingredients

Bunga bawang 1 bunch
Tahu kuning 4 pieces
Cabai merah (optional) 1 piece (add more for spice)
Bawang merah 4 cloves
Bawang putih 2 cloves
Saus tiram 1 tablespoon
Gula To taste

Daun salam 1 leaf

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tofu: Cut the tofu into approximately 1x1x2 cm cubes. Fry them until they are half-cooked and golden brown, then drain the excess oil.

  2. Slice the Aromatics: Thinly slice the bawang merah, bawang putih, and cabai. Also, cut the bunga bawang into pieces about 2 cm long.

  3. Sauté the Base: In a pan, heat oil and sauté the bawang merah and bawang putih until fragrant. Add the cabai and daun salam, cooking until the ingredients are soft.

  4. Add the Bunga Bawang: Incorporate the bunga bawang into the pan and sauté briefly. Add a splash of water to help it cook down.

  5. Combine and Season: Gently fold in the fried tofu, add the saus tiram, and season with sugar and salt to taste. Stir everything together, allowing the bunga bawang to wilt without overcooking.

  6. Final Touches: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Remove from heat to preserve the crispness of the bunga bawang. If desired, add extra cabai for more heat.
