Green onion 2 stalks, chopped
Onion 1, sliced

Ginger 3 slices
Oyster sauce 1/2 tablespoon
Sesame oil 1/2 teaspoon

Water As needed

Instructions:

  1. Begin by preparing all the ingredients: clean the seafood, slice the vegetables, and set aside the seasonings.
  2. Coat the Japanese tofu lightly with cornstarch and fry in a hot pan until golden and crispy. Once done, remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, sauté the minced garlic, sliced onion, and ginger until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp and squid, cooking until they turn opaque. Then, incorporate the sliced carrot, sautéing until just tender.
  5. Stir in the wood ear mushrooms and optional tomato, cooking briefly before adding enough water to create a sauce.
  6. Season the mixture with oyster sauce, sesame oil, and fish sauce, adjusting to your taste. Allow the mixture to simmer for a few minutes.
