Savory Black Pepper Tofu Delight
Tahu Lada Hitam Recipe
Ingredients
| Ingredient | Quantity |
|---|---|
| Tahu putih (tofu), diced | 4 pieces |
| Bawang bombay (onion), chopped | 1/4 piece |
| Bawang putih (garlic), minced | 2 cloves |
| Saori black pepper sauce | 1 sachet |
| Hot water | As needed |
| Margarine for sautéing | 2 tablespoons |
Instructions
-
Fry the Tofu: Begin by frying the diced tofu in hot oil until it develops a light, golden crust—be careful not to over-fry; the goal is just to achieve a slightly crispy exterior.
-
Sauté the Garlic: In the same pan, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, allowing its aroma to fill the kitchen.
-
Combine Ingredients: Gently add the fried tofu back into the pan. Stir to combine, then incorporate the chopped onion, followed by the Saori black pepper sauce. Mix well.
-
Add Water: Pour in hot water as needed, ensuring the mixture remains moist. Stir again to blend all the flavors.
-
Cook Until Thickened: Allow the dish to simmer until the liquid reduces and thickens, enhancing the sauce’s flavor.
-
Serve: Once the sauce has reached the desired consistency, remove from heat and serve hot, enjoying this delightful dish as a savory accompaniment to your meal.
Enjoy your flavorful Tahu Lada Hitam!
