Baked Tomatoes with Tuna and Cheese

Ingredients

Fresh Tomatoes 5, washed, halved, and hollowed out
Canned Tuna 1 can (drained)
Onion (diced) ½ medium onion
Green Onion (chopped) 1 stalk
Cilantro (chopped) 1 sprig
Mayonnaise (optional) 1 tbsp
Corn Kernels 2 tbsp
Carrot (diced) 1 tbsp
Green Peas 1 tbsp
Black Pepper To taste
Grated Cheese As desired (sandwich cheese recommended)

Instructions

  1. Preparation:
    First, wash your hands and gather all necessary tools and ingredients. Preheat your oven to 100°C (212°F) for about 10 minutes.

  2. Tomatoes:
    Clean the fresh tomatoes thoroughly. Slice them in half and carefully remove the inner flesh, creating a hollow space for the stuffing.

  3. Filling Mixture:
    In a bowl, combine the drained canned tuna with the diced onion, green onion, cilantro, carrot, corn kernels, green peas, black pepper, and mayonnaise (if using). Mix everything together until well combined.

  4. Stuff the Tomatoes:
    Fill each tomato half with the tuna mixture, pressing the filling down gently to pack it in.

  5. Cheese Topping:
    Sprinkle a generous amount of grated cheese over each stuffed tomato. You can adjust the cheese quantity to your preference.

  6. Bake:
    Place the stuffed tomatoes on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. The baking time may vary depending on your oven, so keep an eye on the tomatoes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

  7. Serving:
