Tempe Selimut

Ingredients

Tempe 1 block
Dried noodles 1 sheet
Ground pepper ½ teaspoon
Salt ½ teaspoon
Cooking oil As needed
Water Sufficient for soaking

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Noodles: Soak the dried noodles in warm water mixed with ground pepper and salt for about 5 minutes, or until they swell. Drain and set aside.

  2. Prepare the Tempe: Cut the tempe into rectangular blocks. Soak briefly in a mixture of salt and pepper, then fry until lightly cooked. Drain excess oil.

  3. Assemble: Take the soaked noodles and wrap them around each piece of tempe, rolling them to ensure even coverage.

  4. Fry: Heat oil in a pan and fry the wrapped tempe until the noodles are golden brown and crispy.

  5. Serve: Remove from oil and serve hot, optionally with a dipping sauce of your choice.
