Practical Tempe Tepung Recipe

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Tempe (sliced thinly) 200g
All-purpose flour 1 cup
Green onions (sliced) 2 stalks
Chicken seasoning mix 1 packet
Chicken bouillon (Masako) 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Water as needed
Oil (for frying) sufficient amount

Instructions

  1. Mix the Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, chicken seasoning mix, Masako, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water until the mixture reaches a smooth batter consistency. Stir in the sliced green onions for added flavor.

  2. Prepare for Frying: Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

  3. Coat and Fry the Tempe: Dip each slice of tempe into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated. Carefully place the coated tempe into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes on each side.

  4. Drain and Serve: Once cooked, remove the tempe from the oil and place it on a paper towel to absorb excess oil. Serve hot as a delicious snack or appetizer.
