Ingredients

5 Large eggs, boiled, peeled, and fried until slightly crisp
1 block Firm tofu, cut into pieces, washed, and deep-fried until golden
1 block Tempeh, cut into pieces and fried until half-cooked
400 ml Water
Cooking oil, as needed
Salt, to taste
Ground pepper, to taste
Bouillon powder, to taste

Spice Paste:

3 Garlic cloves
3 Large red chilies, seeds removed
3 Roasted candlenuts (kemiri)
1 Medium-sized ripe tomato
1/2 inch Fresh turmeric

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spice Paste: In a pan, heat a little cooking oil over medium heat. Add the shallots, garlic, red chilies, candlenuts, tomato, turmeric, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant and softened.

  2. Combine Ingredients: Pour in the water, then add the fried eggs, tempeh, and tofu. Season with salt, ground pepper, and bouillon powder to taste.

  3. Cook the Dish: Bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer until the sauce reduces slightly. Remember to taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary.

  4. Serve: Once cooked, remove from heat and serve warm, enjoying this flavorful dish alongside steamed rice.
