Instructions:

    Heat the oil in a small tempering pan or tadka pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the mustard seeds (rai) and let them splutter. Make sure to turn off the heat immediately after the asafoetida has been added to avoid burning it.

  3. Combine the Tempering and Chili Paste:

  4. Serve:
