- For tempering:
- 1 teaspoon whole black pepper, ground
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds

- 1 teaspoon white urad dal
- Salt, to taste
- 1 sprig curry leaves, broken
- 2 teaspoons ghee

Start by cooking the rice. In a pressure cooker, add rice, water (adjust the quantity as needed), and salt. Cook for 2 whistles. Let the rice cool down after cooking.

While the rice is cooling, heat ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add the tempering ingredients one by one, starting with black pepper, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, sesame seeds, and white urad dal. Sauté for about 15 seconds until the spices release their fragrance.

Once the spices are ready, add the cooled rice into the pan. Mix everything gently to combine, ensuring the rice is well coated with the tempering.
