- 1 cup Sweet Potatoes (about 2), cooked and mashed
- 1 cup Beetroot (about 2), grated
- 1 Onion, finely chopped
- 2 Green Chillies, finely chopped
- 1 clove Garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder (Haldi)
- 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Powder (Jeera)
- 2 tablespoons Coriander Leaves (Dhania), chopped
- 1/4 cup Corn Flour (or Gram Flour/Besan)
- Salt, to taste
- Oil, as needed

Cook the Base Mixture:
Heat a teaspoon of oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onions and garlic, sautéing them until the onions become soft and translucent. -
Add Beets and Spices:
Stir in the grated beetroot, turmeric powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cover the pan and let it simmer on low heat until the beetroot softens (about 10-12 minutes). Once cooked, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool completely. -
Form the Dough:
Once the mixture has cooled, add the mashed sweet potatoes, chopped coriander leaves, and finely chopped green chillies. Mix in the corn flour (or gram flour) and adjust the salt as needed. Combine all the ingredients until well-incorporated. -
Shape the Kebab Balls:
Take small portions of the mixture and roll them into lemon-sized balls. Set aside. -
Cooking Options:
You can either shallow fry the balls in a pan with a little oil or bake them at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until they are golden and crispy. -
