Stuffed Bread Recipe
Category: Appetizer
Servings: 6

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Whole wheat bread 1 loaf
Yellow bell pepper ½
Cooked Prague ham 120g
Fontina cheese 60g
Chives 2 sprigs
Sun-dried tomatoes 4
Butter 10g

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Start by roasting the yellow bell pepper. Once roasted, peel off the skin and slice it into thin strips.

  2. Next, with a serrated knife, slice the loaf of whole wheat bread into approximately 3.5 cm thick slices, but avoid cutting all the way through the bottom. After making the horizontal cuts, cut perpendicularly across, forming a checkerboard pattern within the loaf.

  3. Begin the stuffing process: inside the cuts of the bread, add slices of Fontina cheese, Prague ham, and strips of roasted yellow bell pepper.

  4. Melt the butter and brush it generously over the surface of the entire loaf.

  5. Wrap the bread in aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and return the bread to the oven for an additional 10 minutes to allow the top to crisp up.

  6. Once done, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Serve on the table and let your guests help themselves to the delicious, gooey stuffed bread!

Enjoy this savory, cheesy, and flavorful stuffed bread as an irresistible appetizer to kick off any meal!
