Black Pepper Beef with Enoki Mushrooms
Ingredients:
- 1 package thinly sliced beef (boiled and then sliced)
- 1 bundle enoki mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed and finely chopped
- 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 red chilies, sliced
- 2 tomatoes, sliced (or to taste; add more tomatoes if preferred)
- Barbecue sauce (enough to coat the beef)
- 6 teaspoons black pepper sauce (adjust to taste)
- Water, as needed
- Olive oil, for cooking
- Optional: a pinch of sugar (for a touch of sweetness, as preferred) and black pepper for garnish
Instructions:
-
Prepare the Beef:
- Coat the thinly sliced beef with barbecue sauce and grill or sear in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through and slightly caramelized. Set aside on a plate.
-
Prepare the Enoki Mushrooms:
- Lightly grill or sauté the enoki mushrooms in the same skillet or a separate pan until they are tender but still slightly crispy. Arrange the grilled mushrooms alongside the beef on the plate.
-
Make the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add a splash of olive oil and sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant and translucent.
- Add the black pepper sauce and a little water to achieve your desired sauce consistency. Stir to combine and let it simmer for a few minutes.
-
Add Vegetables:
- Incorporate the sliced bell pepper, tomatoes, and red chilies into the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender and the sauce has thickened slightly.
-
Combine and Serve:
- Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and enoki mushrooms on the plate.
- If desired, add a pinch of sugar to balance the flavors and sprinkle with black pepper for extra seasoning.
-
Optional Garnish:
- For a touch of extra flavor, garnish with additional black pepper and serve immediately.
Enjoy this savory and slightly spicy Black Pepper Beef with Enoki Mushrooms as a delightful main course!
