Servings: 6
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/3 cup frozen cranberries
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 – 4 tablespoons oats
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
- Cooking spray
- Chocolate chips (for sprinkling)
Instructions:
-
In a medium saucepan, combine water, sugar, fresh cranberries, and frozen cranberries. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
-
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring constantly until cranberries soften and the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
-
Stir in your favorite jam for added sweetness and flavor.
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat 6 (6-ounce) custard cups or a baking dish with cooking spray.
-
Evenly divide the cranberry mixture into the custard cups or spread it in the baking dish. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the cranberry mixture.
-
In a separate mixing bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the ingredients are well combined and crumbly.
-
Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the cranberry and chocolate chip layer in the custard cups or baking dish.
-
Place the filled custard cups or baking dish on a baking sheet to catch any drips.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cranberry mixture is bubbly around the edges.
-
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
