Tongkol Tahu in Coconut Milk Sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 mackerel fish (separate the bones and fry)
- 1 package of Kara coconut milk
- 1 block of tofu
- 4 green chilies, sliced
Ground Spices:
- 4 cloves garlic
- 6 shallots
- 4 large red chilies
- 6 bird’s eye chilies
- 1 segment turmeric
Additional Spices:
- 1 segment galangal
- 2 kaffir lime leaves
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Pepper, seasoning, and tamarind to taste
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
- Sauté the ground spices and add a little tamarind. Incorporate the additional spices.
- Pour in the instant coconut milk and water. Add the tofu and fried mackerel pieces, followed by the sliced green chilies.
- Stir the mixture until it reaches a boil. Add salt, pepper, and seasoning to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Once it is well-cooked, serve immediately and enjoy! 😃
