Chicken Steak with Basil Cream Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 basil leaf, finely chopped
  • 200 grams cooking cream
  • 60 grams quick-melt cheese
  • 50 grams mozzarella cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Sugar, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. Allow them to rest for 10 minutes.
    • Grill or pan-sear the chicken until it is about 75% cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.
  2. Make the Basil Cream Sauce:

    • In a saucepan, combine the cooking cream, quick-melt cheese, and finely chopped basil leaf.
    • Season with salt, black pepper, and a pinch of sugar. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it starts to bubble.
  3. Assemble the Dish:

    • Place the partially cooked chicken breasts in a baking dish.
    • Pour the basil cream sauce over the chicken.
    • Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
  4. Bake:

    • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
    • Bake the chicken for approximately 30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the chicken is fully cooked.
  5. Serve:
