Chicken Spaghetti Carbonara
Ingredients:
- 1/4 package of spaghetti (I used La Fonte)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Chicken (as needed, diced or shredded)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large egg
- Cheddar cheese (to taste, shredded)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
-
Cook the Spaghetti: Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
-
Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the egg, salt, pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese until well combined. Set aside.
-
Cook the Chicken and Garlic: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and diced chicken to the skillet. Sauté until the chicken is cooked through and the garlic is fragrant, about 5-7 minutes.
-
Combine Spaghetti and Chicken: Once the spaghetti is drained, add it to the skillet with the chicken and garlic. Toss to combine and ensure the pasta is well coated with the buttery mixture.
-
Add the Sauce: Pour the prepared egg and cheese mixture over the spaghetti and chicken. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated and the sauce is creamy. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
-
Serve: Transfer the Chicken Spaghetti Carbonara to serving plates and garnish with additional shredded cheddar cheese, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
This Chicken Spaghetti Carbonara combines the rich flavors of buttery chicken and garlic with a creamy cheese sauce, offering a comforting and delightful meal that’s perfect for any occasion.
