Beef Teriyaki Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg beef (trimmed of fat)
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 2 sachets of Saori Teriyaki sauce
  • 2 sachets of Saori Oyster sauce
  • ½ tablespoon MSG (monosodium glutamate)
  • 1 bunch of scallions
  • 6 cloves garlic

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
Begin by creating the marinade sauce. Crush 4 cloves of garlic using a mortar and pestle until finely ground. Add the salt, Saori Teriyaki sauce, sweet soy sauce, and Saori Oyster sauce to the garlic. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

  2. Marinate the Beef:
Cut the beef into small pieces, then tenderize each piece with a meat mallet to ensure they are soft and tender after cooking. Place the beef pieces into the marinade and let them soak for 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to penetrate the meat thoroughly.

  3. Prepare Vegetables:
While the beef is marinating, chop the green bell pepper and onion into bite-sized pieces according to your preference.

  4. Deep Fry the Beef:
Heat a generous amount of cooking oil in a deep fryer or large pan over high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated beef pieces, ensuring they are fully submerged in the oil. Fry the beef for about 1 minute until it is crispy and golden. Remove the beef from the oil and place it on a plate. Do not drain the oil, as it will be used later.

  5. Cook the Vegetables:
In a new pan, heat 2 tablespoons of fresh cooking oil over medium heat. Add 2 cloves of garlic, crushed and finely chopped. Sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the chopped bell pepper and onion, cooking for approximately 2 minutes or until they are softened and slightly translucent.

  6. Combine and Finish:
Return the fried beef to the pan with the vegetables, including any oil left from the frying process. Stir everything together and cook for a few more minutes until well combined. Season with MSG and add a bit more Teriyaki sauce to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.

  7. Garnish and Serve:
Finally, slice the scallions and sprinkle them over the dish. Turn off the heat and give everything a final mix. Serve your Beef Teriyaki hot, straight from the pan, and enjoy!

This savory Beef Teriyaki dish combines tender, flavorful beef with crisp vegetables in a sweet and savory sauce. Perfect for a satisfying meal any day of the week!
