Tempe Goreng Mentega

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Tempe 1 block, cut into squares
All-purpose flour 3 tablespoons
Tapioca flour 1 tablespoon
Ground coriander 1 teaspoon
Ground pepper 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder ½ teaspoon
Water as needed
Cooking oil for frying
Butter 3 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, tapioca flour, ground coriander, ground pepper, salt, turmeric powder, and enough water to create a smooth batter, ensuring it’s well mixed.

  2. Add the cut tempe pieces into the batter, thoroughly coating each piece.

  3. Heat a generous amount of cooking oil along with the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the butter is melted and the oil is hot, gently add the battered tempe.

  4. Fry the tempe until golden brown and crispy on all sides, ensuring even cooking. This process should take about 3-5 minutes.

  5. Once cooked, remove the tempe from the oil and place it on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

  6. Serve hot for the ultimate flavor experience, as it tastes best while still warm. Enjoy your delightful Tempe Goreng Mentega!
