Crispy Chicken Mie Geprek Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 packet of angel hair noodles
- 1 ounce chicken breast
- All-purpose flour
- Cabbage
- Garlic
- Soy sauce
- Beef broth powder (Royco sapi)
- Salt, to taste
- Dried shrimp (ebi)
- Sesame oil
- Oyster sauce
- Ground pepper
- Cooking oil
- Water
- Bird’s eye chilies
- Shallots
Instructions:

Prepare the Noodles:
- Boil the angel hair noodles until cooked. Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Seasonings:
- Crush 2 cloves of garlic, sauté until fragrant.
- Add 1 teaspoon of sesame oil. Sauté briefly with garlic.
- Pour in 1 cup of water.
- Add soy sauce, dried shrimp, salt, oyster sauce, beef broth powder, and ground pepper to taste. Bring to a boil.

Cook the Noodles:
- Add the boiled noodles to the seasoning mixture. Cook until the liquid reduces.
- Add sliced cabbage. Stir briefly until the liquid evaporates. Remove from heat.

Prepare the Chicken:
- Rinse and clean the chicken breast. Cut into 2 pieces or slices as desired.
- Prepare a dry coating by mixing flour, salt, and beef broth powder according to taste.
- Prepare a wet batter by mixing flour with water until it has a thick but runny texture.
- Coat the chicken in the dry mixture, then dip in the wet batter. Coat again with the dry mixture, pressing gently until the coating sticks well.
- Fry the chicken in hot oil over high heat until crispy and golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Chili Garlic Sauce:
- Make a chili garlic sauce by grinding together half a clove of garlic, 2 shallots, and bird’s eye chilies according to taste with salt and sugar. Add 1 tablespoon of oil and mix well.

Assemble:
- Crush the crispy chicken in the chili garlic sauce.
- Serve the fried noodles topped with crispy chicken and cucumber slices.
