Delicious Steamed and Fried Chicken Wontons

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams finely minced chicken
  • 2 tablespoons tapioca flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 shallots, finely chopped
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 stalk green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Wonton wrappers (store-bought)
  • Chicken flavor seasoning (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    In a mixing bowl, combine the finely minced chicken, garlic, shallots, grated carrot, green onion, and egg. If using, add the chicken flavor seasoning to taste. Season with salt and pepper according to your preference.

  2. Incorporate the Tapioca Flour:
    Mix the ingredients until well combined. Gradually add the tapioca flour, mixing thoroughly after each addition, until the filling mixture reaches a slightly thickened, non-runny consistency.

  3. Assemble the Wontons:

    Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the steamed wontons and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
