Stick Tempe Telur Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 block of tempeh

Coating:

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Seasoning:

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • Salt
  • Bouillon powder

Instructions:

  1. Steam the Tempeh: Begin by steaming the block of tempeh until it becomes tender. Once steamed, remove it from the heat and cut it into pieces according to your preference.

  2. Prepare the Coating: In a bowl, combine the egg, all-purpose flour, and the seasoning ingredients. Mince the garlic and add it to the mixture, followed by ground pepper, a pinch of salt, and a dash of bouillon powder. Mix everything thoroughly until you have a smooth, well-blended coating.

  3. Coat the Tempeh: Dip the tempeh pieces into the prepared coating mixture, ensuring that each piece is evenly and generously covered.

  4. Fry the Tempeh: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the coated tempeh pieces into the pan. Fry them until they turn a delightful golden brown. This should take a few minutes per side.

  5. Serve: Once the tempeh sticks are beautifully browned and crisp, remove them from the oil and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve them hot as a delightful snack or a savory side dish. Enjoy your homemade Stick Tempe Telur!
