Crispy Fried Mushrooms with Egg

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams oyster mushrooms
  • 5 cloves garlic or 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • Salt, to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Mushrooms:

    • Tear the oyster mushrooms into bite-sized pieces according to your preference. Rinse them thoroughly under running water and drain well.
  2. Prepare the Garlic Mixture:

    • Crush the garlic cloves with a pinch of salt, or use garlic powder if preferred. You can use a mortar and pestle or a blender for this process. Add a little water to the mixture to create a marinade.
  3. Marinate the Mushrooms:

    • Combine the garlic mixture with the mushrooms. Let them marinate for about 15 to 30 minutes. Be cautious with the marinating time: if the garlic mixture is very salty, marinate for a shorter time; if it is not too salty, you can extend the marinating period up to 30 minutes.
  4. Prepare for Frying:

    • After marinating, drain the mushrooms to remove excess marinade. Crack the egg into a bowl and beat it. Coat each mushroom piece with the beaten egg.
  5. Fry the Mushrooms:

    • Heat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. For a crispier texture, cook the mushrooms until they are golden brown. If you prefer them less crispy, cook until they are a light golden color.
  6. Serve:

    • Remove the mushrooms from the pan and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve warm as a delicious snack or side dish.
