Crispy Green Chili Dried Catfish (River Fish)
Ingredients:
- 10 catfish, cleaned
- 1 green tomato, sliced
Fish Seasoning:
- Salt, to taste
- Lime juice, as needed
Green Chili Paste:
- 100g green chilies
- 6 shallots
- Lime juice, adjust to taste
- Sugar, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Instructions:

Prepare the Fish:
Clean the catfish thoroughly. Rub with salt and lime juice. Let it marinate for about 5 minutes. -
Prepare the Green Chili Paste:
Coarsely grind green chilies, shallots, lime juice, and salt until well combined. Adjust with sugar and salt according to your preference. -
Fry the Fish:
Fry the marinated catfish over low heat until crispy. This may take some time but ensures the fish becomes dry and crispy. -
Prepare the Green Chili Topping:
Sauté the sliced green tomato until slightly wilted. Add the green chili paste and stir until evenly mixed. Turn off the heat. -
Coat the Fish:
Wait until the green chili paste has completely cooled down. Then, coat the crispy fried fish evenly with the green chili topping. -
Note:
Do not coat the fish with hot chili paste as it may compromise the crispiness of the fish over time.
