Tahu Bola (Indonesian Tofu Balls)
Ingredients:
- 1 large block of firm tofu
- 1 small carrot
- 1 stalk of green onion
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour (adjust as needed)
- 1/2 tablespoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander
- 2 cloves garlic
Instructions:
- Begin by grinding the black pepper, coriander, and garlic into a fine paste. This will create a flavorful base for your tofu mixture.
- Finely chop the green onion and carrot, ensuring they are small enough to mix evenly into the tofu mixture.
- In a bowl, mash the tofu until it reaches a smooth consistency. Combine the mashed tofu with the ground spice paste, flour, and chopped vegetables. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into small, round patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the tofu patties until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Enjoy these crispy and flavorful Tahu Bola as a delicious snack or a side dish. Happy cooking!
