Tahu Bulat Recipe

Ingredients

Firm tofu (pressed) 7 pieces
Egg yolk 1
Baking powder ½ teaspoon
Garlic 2 cloves, minced
Shallots 2 cloves, minced
Pepper To taste
Salt To taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the pressed tofu, egg yolk, baking powder, minced garlic, minced shallots, pepper, and salt.
  2. Mix Well: Stir the ingredients thoroughly until a smooth dough forms, ensuring that all components are well incorporated.
  3. Shape the Tofu Balls: Using your hands, portion the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball. You should yield approximately 18 pieces.
  4. Fry the Tofu Balls: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Carefully add the tofu balls to the hot oil, frying until they float to the surface. Gently stir them to ensure even cooking.
  5. Drain and Serve: Once golden and cooked through, remove the tofu balls from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve warm as a delightful snack or appetizer.
