Tempe & Tahu with Chicken Satay Filling Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Tempe & Tahu:

  • 2 medium-sized blocks of tempe, cut into cubes
  • 6 pieces of white tofu, cut into cubes

For the Chicken Satay Filling:

  • 5 shallots
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 5 skewers of chicken satay
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 5 birdโ€™s eye chilies (adjust to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder

For the Coating Batter:

  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder
  • A pinch of coriander
  • Water, as needed

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tempe and Tahu:

    • Cut the tempe into cubes according to your preference. Slice part of each cube to create a pocket for the filling. Do the same with the tofu.
  2. Make the Chicken Satay Filling:
