Simple Tahu and Quail Egg Balls
Ingredients
- 10 quail eggs
- 4 pieces of tofu
- 1 large chicken egg
- Royco chicken seasoning (or similar chicken bouillon)
- Bread crumbs or panko
Instructions
-
Prepare the Quail Eggs: Begin by boiling the quail eggs until they are fully cooked. Once they are done, carefully peel off the shells and set the eggs aside.
-
Prepare the Tofu Mixture: Crumble the tofu into a large bowl. Season the tofu with Royco chicken seasoning, adjusting the amount to your taste. Mix well to ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed throughout the tofu.
-
Assemble the Balls: Take a portion of the seasoned tofu mixture and flatten it slightly in your palm. Place one quail egg in the center, then gently wrap and mold the tofu around the egg to form a ball shape. Repeat this process with the remaining tofu and quail eggs.
-
Coat the Balls: Lightly roll each tofu ball in bread crumbs or panko to create a crisp coating.
-
Fry the Balls: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add the tofu balls and fry them until they are golden brown and crispy on all sides. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
-
Drain and Serve: Remove the fried tofu balls from the oil and drain them on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot and enjoy as a delicious snack or appetizer!
Feel free to adjust the seasoning and frying time to suit your taste and preference.
