Crispy Tahu Stir-Fry
Ingredients:
- 5 medium-sized blocks of firm tofu
- A handful of celery leaves
- For the Spice Paste:
- 6 red curly chilies
- 3 bird’s eye chilies
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 tablespoon granulated sugar
- Salt, to taste
- 1/2 packet of seasoning powder (any flavor)
- Cooking oil, as needed
Instructions:

Prepare the Tofu: Cut the tofu into thin slices and fry in hot oil until they become crispy and firm. While the tofu is frying, prepare the spice paste.

Make the Spice Paste: Blend the red curly chilies, bird’s eye chilies, garlic, and granulated sugar into a smooth paste. Set aside.

Prepare the Celery: Finely slice the celery leaves.

Stir-Fry the Spice Paste: In a separate pan, heat a little oil and sauté the spice paste until it becomes aromatic.

Add Sugar and Seasoning: Stir in 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and continue to sauté for a few more minutes.

Combine Tofu and Spice Paste: Add the fried tofu slices to the pan with the spice paste. Stir well to ensure that the tofu is evenly coated with the paste.

Season and Adjust: Sprinkle in the seasoning powder and adjust the salt to taste. Mix thoroughly and let it cook for another few minutes.

Finish with Celery: Add the sliced celery leaves and stir until they are slightly wilted and well combined with the tofu.

Serve: Remove from heat and serve the crispy tahu stir-fry hot, as a delightful side or main dish.
