Tahu Cabe Garam

Ingredients:

  • 5 pieces of firm tofu, cut into cubes or preferred shapes
  • All-purpose seasoning flour
  • Sliced Ingredients:
    • 5 cloves garlic
    • 1 small onion
    • 10 red chili peppers (or red bird’s eye chili peppers)
    • 1 stalk green onion
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Tofu:

    • Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes. Dredge each piece in all-purpose seasoning flour, coating it evenly.
    • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the coated tofu pieces until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.
  2. Cook the Sliced Ingredients:

    • Thinly slice the garlic, onion, and red chili peppers. Chop the green onion into small pieces.
    • In the same pan used for frying the tofu, add a small amount of oil and sauté the garlic, onion, and chili peppers over low heat. Cook until they are slightly crispy and fragrant.
  3. Combine and Season:

    • Add salt to the sautéed ingredients according to your taste preferences.
    • Gently fold in the fried tofu cubes with the sautéed mixture. Stir until everything is well combined and heated through.
  4. Serve:

    • Transfer the Tahu Cabe Garam to a serving dish and garnish with the chopped green onion. Serve hot as a delicious appetizer or a flavorful side dish.

Enjoy the savory crunch of tofu paired with the spicy and aromatic blend of sautéed ingredients!
