Servings: 36 cookies

Ingredients:

Quantity Ingredient
2 cups All-purpose flour
1 tsp Baking soda
1 cup Unsalted butter
1 cup Light brown sugar
1/2 cup Granulated sugar
3 tsp Vanilla extract
1 tsp Salt
2 Eggs
2 cups Chocolate chips
2 cups Walnuts (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Evenly space 2 racks in the oven and preheat it to 350ºF (175ºC).

  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour and baking soda.

  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large mixing bowl, beat the unsalted butter for about 1 minute until fluffy. Add the light brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat until the mixture is thick and pale, about 1 to 2 minutes.

  4. Incorporate Eggs: Beat in the eggs until just blended.

  5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: With a spoon, stir in the flour mixture until well combined. Then, fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).

  6. Form Cookies: Drop about 2 tablespoons of dough per cookie onto ungreased cookie sheets, placing 6 cookies on each sheet.

  7. Bake: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, rotating the sheets halfway through baking to ensure even cooking. The cookies should be golden brown around the edges and only lightly colored on top.

  8. Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the cookie sheets for 2 to 3 minutes, then transfer them to paper towels. Leave them on the towels for an additional 5 minutes before lifting them onto wire racks to cool completely.

  9. Repeat: If baking multiple batches, ensure that the cookie sheets are cooled before reusing.

  10. Storage: The cookie dough can be refrigerated for a day or two or frozen for future use.

These Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies are sure to be a hit with family and friends. Enjoy the rich, chewy goodness with a tall glass of milk or a warm cup of coffee. Happy baking! 🍪🥛☕️
