Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons margarine
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions:

Step Description
1 Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2 Lightly grease the bottom and sides of an 8-inch square baking pan.
3 Line the pan with parchment paper, ensuring the ends extend above the pan on two sides; lightly grease the paper.
4 In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. This can be done on a small piece of waxed paper to minimize cleanup.
5 In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
6 Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the unsweetened chocolate, stirring until the chocolate melts completely.
7 Stir in the sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs into the chocolate mixture, directly in the saucepan used for melting the chocolate.
8 Add the flour mixture and chocolate chips to the saucepan, stirring until just blended.
9 Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
10 Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is firm when lightly touched. Be careful not to overbake.
11 Allow the brownies to cool in the pan on a wire rack.
12 Once cooled, lift the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper ends and transfer them to a cutting board.
13 The parchment paper should peel easily off before cutting into squares.

These brownies are best enjoyed with a tall glass of milk or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra decadent treat. They make a delightful addition to any dessert table or a thoughtful gift for friends and family. Enjoy the rich chocolate flavor and the melt-in-your-mouth texture that will keep you coming back for more! 🍫🍪
