  • 8 popsicle sticks
  • Chocolate for melting (amount as desired)
  • Toppings of your choice: candy sprinkles, crushed nuts, etc.

Instructions

Step Description
1 Place a sheet of wax paper on a cookie sheet and set aside.
2 Peel bananas; cut each one in half.
3 Push a popsicle stick into each banana half, inserting it about two inches.
4 In a heavy saucepan over low heat or in the microwave, melt chocolate until smooth.
5 Pour the melted chocolate into a tall drinking glass, filling it about two-thirds full.
6 Holding the popsicle stick, lower each banana into the melted chocolate until it’s completely covered.
7 Give the banana a gentle turn, allowing excess chocolate to drip back into the glass.
8 Immediately roll the coated banana in your desired topping, such as candy sprinkles or crushed nuts.
9 Place the decorated bananas on the wax-paper-lined sheet and transfer them to the freezer, leaving them uncovered until solid.
10 Once frozen solid, transfer the bananas to an airtight freezer bag for storage.
11 Serve the bananas frozen for a refreshing treat.
