Mysorepaak Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups ghee
  • 3 cups besan (gram flour)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Ingredients:

    • Heat the ghee until it becomes a thin liquid and pour it into a measuring cup.
    • Take the sugar and 1/2 cup of water in a kadai (Indian wok), place it on medium heat.
  2. Cooking Process:

    • Just when the sugar dissolves, add the besan to the kadai.
    • Keep stirring continuously throughout the entire procedure.
    • Gradually add the ghee little by little while stirring the mixture.
  3. Final Steps:

    • Continue cooking until the mixture starts separating out from the ghee.
    • Once the mixture reaches a thick, spreadable consistency, pour it onto a thali (Indian metal plate) greased with a little ghee.
    • While the mixture is still hot, cut it into small squares using a knife.
    • Allow it to cool completely before serving.
